Hot-dip galvanized steel coil is dipped in molten zinc, producing a 40–275 g/m² coating that handles outdoor exposure and forming. Electro-galvanized coil deposits zinc electrically, giving a thin, uniform 10–30 g/m² layer with an excellent paint finish for appliances and automotive interiors.
Choose hot-dip for roofing, structures, and anything outdoors. Choose electro for visible painted parts, tight tolerances, and light indoor service. Hot-dip costs less per tonne at heavy coatings; electro offers smoother surfaces.
